WXYZ is teaming up with the American Red Cross to deliver storm aid to victims hit hardest by Hurricane Irma.
Irma, now downgraded to a tropical storm, lashed out on the Caribbean islands as a Category 4 Hurricane before hitting Florida over the weekend and making its way to Georgia and the Carolinas.
Officials said it’s hard to determine the full extent of the damage as roads reopen, but it’s clear the wind speeds, peaking at 185 mph, left destruction and devastation.
More than 8 million in Florida and Georgia remain without power.
WXYZ is working with the American Red Cross to deliver aid by providing supplies, clean water, food and more.
To donate via phone, call the WXYZ Storm Aid phone bank starting at 6AM: 248-223-4452 or donate online, on the American Red Cross website.
