(WXYZ) — Michigan State Police are investigating a freeway shooting that happened Tuesday morning.

According to MSP, around 6:20 a.m. troopers responded to the northbound Southfield Freeway exit ramp to 7 Mile for a shooting.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a semi-truck was on the exit ramp to 7 Mile from M-39 northbound when a two-door passenger car pulled alongside and fired multiple shots at the truck.

The suspect vehicle was last seen headed westbound on 7 Mile Road.

There were no injuries.

Troopers have since cleared the scene. MSP says the incident stemmed from a traffic altercation and was not a random incident.
