With the first episode of "The Defiant Ones" premiering on HBO about Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Sunday night, there is also word of a new album coming from Detroit's own Eminem.
In an interview with Uproxx, director Allen Hughes revealed that Dre is once again working with Eminem on his ninth studio album.
"Right now, he's (Dre) producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album," Hughes said. "So Dre's still real active in music, you know?"
Eminem was also featured in the documentary about Dre and Iovine.
On top of that, rapper 2 Chainz confirmed that he worked with Eminem on a new song for Slim Shady's album.
That came after he posted a photo with Eminem two weeks ago.
He hasn't released a studio album since "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" came out on Nov. 5, 2013.
Eminem, Dre or Shady Records have yet to confirm the new album.
