(WXYZ) — Sun Hong Foods has recalled enoki mushrooms because they might be contaminated with listeria.

The mushrooms are white, with long stems and small caps.

The CDC says the investigation is ongoing to determine the source of contamination.

Any surfaces and containers that may have come in contact with the recalled mushrooms should be washed and sanitized, the CDC says. No one should eat, serve or sell the recalled mushrooms.

Those who suspect they have eaten the mushrooms and are experiencing symptoms are urged to call a healthcare provider.

The listeria outbreak has been reported from 17 states, infecting 36 people. Four deaths and 30 hospitalizations have been reported in connection to the outbreak.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the source of contamination.
