(WXYZ) — An expecting Mother is speaking out about her displeasure with FedEx after she says the delivery company left a baby crib at the end of her driveway near the curb.

Megan Gudding, who’s 7 months pregnant, doesn’t understand why the delivery driver didn’t deliver her baby crib to the front door, but says it shouldn’t have been left at the end of her driveway for someone to take.

“We’re lucky to have it. At least we got it but I was not expecting it to be left by the curb like trash,” Gudding said.

She says she thought the driver would have brought the box to her front door, like normal deliveries.

“When she eventually gets it out of the truck it almost tumbles out a little bit," Gudding said of the delivery person. "And leaves it right by the curb instead of bringing it up to the door."

Gudding, who’s expecting her first child in about two months, had to go get the 50-pound box herself. The box that says fragile, similar to Gudding’s condition.

“I had to do... slow turns of the box because obviously I couldn’t lift it," she said. "So, I'm just dragging it through the grass when I could and slow turns up the stairs."

FedEx sent us a statement that reads In the part, “The behavior depicted is unacceptable and inconsistent with the professionalism FedEx Ground service providers demonstrate every day in safely and securely delivering millions of packages to our customers.”

“She was young, she seemed fit, but then she just drove off and so I was like oh, she’s not coming back to finish bringing it to the house,” Gudding said.

The soon-to-be mother says it’s just disappointing, especially when you expect something you paid for to at least be delivered to your front door, not the side of the road.

“At least for my neighbors and stuff, if their packages are getting left by the curb, I don’t want their stuff to get stolen so more of like a notice to them too,” Gudding said.

FedEx says they are committed to treating their customers' shipments with the utmost care and will take appropriate steps to address this matter.
