Dearborn residents and business owners are invited to attend a May 24 public meeting about the gas meter and gas line replacement project by DTE Energy.

The work will require a DTE representative to enter homes and buildings in the area of Chase Rd. and E. Moross Circle, and W. Warren and Tireman to relocate and upgrade infrastructure.

Home and building owners in the affected area may not opt out of work being done.

According to DTE Energy, the project will ensure safe and reliable delivery of natural gas for customers in the future.

An informational meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Henry Ford Centennial Library at 16301 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn.

Representatives from DTE Energy will provide an overview of the planned construction work, and answer any questions or concerns people may have.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, questions may also be directed to DTE Energy by calling 313-256-6227.
