Family-friendly fun at 'Battle of the Badges' charity game in Utica

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Head out to this year's "Battle of the Badges" as Macomb and Oakland County Sheriff's Offices team up for some friendly east versus west competition.

The charity softball game will take place on May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Jimmy John's Field in Utica during National Police Week. The event is open to the public.

General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. Kids 12 and under get in free.

Featured activities include: face painting, visits from mascots and K-9 officers as well as food catered by Chick-Fil-A.

Funds raised through the charity event will help support Sheriff PAL (Police Athletic League) programs that offer free mentoring, sports programming and enrichment for youth.
