SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Superior Township man has been missing since Monday, March 25, and his family is pleading for his safe return.

56-year-old Marc Esper was headed to a storage facility in Ypsilanti because his family is moving, but there is no evidence that he made it there.

His family says his phone has been turned off and he has a pacemaker, but it's too old to track.

Esper's car was found Wednesday night at Church of God in Belleville. His family says that gives them hope that Esper is still alive.

"I'm just scared for him," his sister, Johnna Esper, said. "He's my brother. He grew up to be such a fine man and the best brother anyone can ask for and I just want him to come home."

Johnna said Esper hasn't missed a day of work in 30 years without proper notice and this is completely out of character.

Belleville police are expected to search Esper's car for evidence once they have a search warrant.
