Federal charges unsealed against two in long running federal probe of Detroit housing demolitions

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Federal prosecutors have unsealed criminal charges against two men in the long running federal probe of Detroit's housing demolition program.

Anthony Daguanno has been charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Honest Service Fraud. He's accused of accepting over $372,000 in bribe payments between January 2010 and January 2019.

Prosecutors say that while working with the Adamo Group, Daguanno would provide confidential bidding information to a subcontractor, identified only as Contractor A, allowing them to underbid other competing contractors.

Prosecutors have also charged Aradondo Haskins, alleging the same conduct with Contractor A.

Haskins, who worked for both Adamo and the city of Detroit Building Authority, has been charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bribery and Honest Service Fraud. Haskins is accused of taking more than $25,000 in bribes as part of the bid rigging scheme.

The charges were reveled in Informations that were unsealed in US District Court for the Eastern District of Michgian on Monday.
