FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — The city of Ferndale will take a closer look at the idea of becoming the new home to Baker College.
Monday night, the city council unanimously approved an exclusive negotiating rights agreement with Baker.
The college is looking to consolidate its metro area campuses into one place and Ferndale landed at the top of the list.
The proposed location is at 9 Mile and Bermuda.
There are concerns about parking and whether the college is a good fit for Ferndale. Leaders will weigh the pros and cons in the next phase of the process.
