Firefighters are responding to a building fire at Western Golf and Country Club in Redford Township.
The country club is located on Beech Road, south of Five Mile Road. Dearborn Heights, Livonia and Southfield fire departments are assisting.
The clubhouse was first established in 1926, according to the website.
"It's just unbelievable," said Stacey Elliott, a server and bartender in the main dining area in the club. "I've been working here seven years, it's my second home," she said.
"It absolutely breaks your heart," said Lydia Miller, a member of the country club.
No one was in the building when the building caught fire and there are no reported injuries, officials say.
