Michigan FlexTech High Schools named one of top blended schools in country

BRIGHTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — FlexTech High Schools in Michigan have earned national recognition for its classroom instruction model, according to rankings on study.com.

The U.S. high schools ranked have blended learning programs, which use a proprietary formula that places different weights on things such as student and teacher ratios, accessibility and blended learning implementation, a media release states.

“As mentioned on their website, one of the keys to our approach is individual academic plans that let students establish their own focus and objectives,” said Brighton School Leader, Nick Wasmer. “We are focused on helping every student become their best, and as one of the first in the state to offer this type of curriculum we’re honored to receive this national recognition.”

There are two other Michigan schools were included on the study.com list, those include Clintondale High School in Clinton TOwnship at No. 47 and Pioneer Tech High School in Hamilton at No. 48.

There are FlexTech High Schools in Brighton, Novi and Shepherd, Michigan. They're all tuition-free public charter schools.
