New England Patriots Linebacker (Former Detroit Lion) Kyle Van Noy and wife Marissa, former Miss Utah, will trade in the football pads and tiara for ice skates on Friday, November 18, 2016, to raise funds to purchase live Christmas trees, stands, and decorations for Detroit foster families.

The Van Noys are inviting families and individuals to join them on the ice from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm on November 18th at the Dearborn Ice Arena, 14900 Ford Road, in Dearborn, Michigan.  The cost to attend is $10 and children under five years of age skate for FREE.    Proceeds from the event will benefit the Van Noy Valor Foundation and will be used to purchase Christmas trees and decorations for 53 Detroit foster families this holiday season.

In addition to skating with the stars, there will be free ice skating lessons, music, food, and a silent auction for all guests who attend the event.  The $10 admission includes skate rental, but participants are encouraged to bring their own skates, as there is a limited number of rentals available.

Kyle Van Noy was adopted as an infant and Marissa's father and younger brother were both adopted as well.  The Van Noys have been giving back to the Detroit community by donating items like Christmas trees, clothing, and other necessities to children they know need assistance in the foster program since their arrival in 2014.
