(WXYZ) — The heat wave gets dangerous for the week ahead with heat indices reaching 98° - 105° for multiple days.

The biggest difference will be the humidity, which will steadily climb throughout the week. The "Muggy Meter"spikes from Tuesday to Friday with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. That's what I call the "air you can wear" since it can limit the body's ability to cool off in the heat.

If you'll be spending lots of time outdoors during peak heating hours due to either work or other activities, be sure to take plenty of breaks and stay hydrated while you enjoy the heat.
