Funeral arrangements announced for brothers killed in Grosse Pointe house fire

GROSSE POINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — The funeral for two brothers killed in a Grosse Pointe house fire on Monday is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2, according to Verheyden Funeral Home.

The fired happened at a house on Fisher near Mack, which is southwest of Moross.

The brothers, 9-year-old Logan Connolly and 11-year-old Briggs Connolly, reportedly called their mother when the house started filling up with smoke. She returned home to find it in flames.

Officials say the two boys were found in the upstairs bedroom during the three-alarm fire.

A prayer service is being held for the community at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Parish Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The prayer service is being offered by the parish, and is not in connection to the funeral arangements.
