The Girl Scouts of the USA announced on Tuesday that a new cookie will be joining the 2019 lineup. The cookie, Caramel Chocolate Chip, will be a gluten-free option with limited availability in select areas.

Now, there are a dozen cookies in the Girl Scouts lineup. They are: Caramel Chocolate Chip, Toffee-tastic, Thanks-A-Lot, Savannah Smiles, Lemonades, Do-si-dos, Shortbread/Trefoils, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Thin Mints and Girl Scout S'mores.

“The Girl Scout Cookie Program plays a powerful role in developing financially savvy girl leaders,” said GSUSA CEO Sylvia Acevedo. “Girl entrepreneurs learn valuable interpersonal and business skills via the cookie program that help them become successful in their future careers, no matter what path they choose."

The new cookie will be the second gluten-free option with Toffee-tastic.

It features caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie.
