DETROIT (WXYZ) — The sky’s the limit for 16-year-old August, who dreams of working on cars and visiting the pyramids in Egypt. But her ultimate wish is to be adopted out of foster care.

“August has a positive attitude and is very helpful,” said her worker.

Pop the hood on the car, and watch her eyes get excited. August wants to become an auto mechanic when she grows up because she really enjoys working on cars.

Math is her top subject and going to college is also one of her goals. She’d like to be a Michigan State Spartan. Go Green!

Participating in volleyball at school is one of her favorite things, but she’d also like to join the cheerleading squad.

Green is her favorite color. Rap is her favorite music genre. Pizza with ranch dressing is among her favorite foods.

Walking through the mall, playing with dogs, or traveling would be several ways she’d like to spend time with her future family.

She’d love to visit Egypt one day to see the pyramids, so she wants to learn Arabic for the journey.

But before she gets any older, she just wants to join a family where she can feel loved and supported.

She would prefer a forever family with a mom and a dad who live in a rural setting and have pets.

She would also like to maintain her sibling relationships.
