Grant Me Hope: 16-year-old Charles is an illustrator and sports enthusiast

Graduating from high school and college is a dream Charles wants to make come true.

The 16-year-old – who likes be called “Chuck” – says math is his favorite subject.

He really wants to do well in school.

“The best thing about me is that I’m smart!” he explained.  

“I would describe myself as a smart…sensitive young man,” he added.

His favorite activities are playing video games and all kinds of sports.

“I like playing football, basketball, hockey, sometimes soccer,” said Chuck.

His favorite sports teams are the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts.

He also is a budding artist.  He really enjoys drawing.

“I like to draw fictional things like cars and space aliens and stuff,” he said.

He dreams of being adopted one day.

“I would like to have a Mom and a Dad – two boys and one girl, and have a dog and fish,” he said. “I would love to have a family because they would help me experience what I haven’t had in a long time.”

Chuck has been waiting to be adopted since February of 2010.
