Great Lakes Women's Business Council will host the 19th Annual National Women's Business Conference for the first time in the city of Detroit.

The 2018 Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) National Confrenece and Business Fair will be held at Cobo Center from June 19 - 21.

"Detroit's innovative and entrepreneurial history, the City's dynamic resurgence on the national scene, our international ports, and, of course, our global automotive and manufacturing economy combine to make Detroit an attractive destination for the 19th annual Conference," said Michelle Richards, executive director of the Great Lakes Women's Business Council. "Additionally, the Detroit area has one of the largest concentration of women-owned businesses in the country."

According to a release, this year's theme is "Discover The Difference."

This conference offers a unique opportunity for Michigan's women business owners to meet with corporate purchasing representatives of national and international corporations. The event will host some of the largest woman-owned businesses from around the county. Major corporations are expected to attend the three-day conference.
