Several police officers responded to a high speed pursuit of a red Chevy Malibu near Gratiot and Conner on Detroit's east side on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic and at times driving into oncoming traffic.
Lincoln Park police and Michigan State Police were engaged in the chase. Officers were able to corner the vehicle and force at least two suspects out of the car. They were taken into custody.
The chase ended at a Bank of America branch. Three people in all, two men and a woman, were arrested.
7 Action News has learned that the chase was sparked by retail fraud and a stolen vehicle.
Lincoln Park police have not released any other updates.
