Even on the hottest day, construction workers still have to pound the pavement.

Manuel Guzman and his crew are working on a mainline in Detroit, despite the sweltering heat wave.

They say they beat the heat by drinking plenty of water, taking their time, and even jumping in the air conditioned truck every once in awhile.

One thing they prefer to go without is sunscreen, because they say when you put it on, everything sticks to them.
