It's a new partnership aimed at getting you more bang for your buck when it comes to travel.
Lyft just announced a collaboration with Delta SkyMiles this week.
Now, if you link your accounts, you can start earning miles each time you catch a Lyft, according to the company.
The ride share company says in a blog post that people can earn 1 SkyMile for every $1 spent on rides. For a short time, Lyft is also offering 3 miles for every $1 spent on rides to and from airports where the company operates. That promotion lasts until the end of August.
New users who sign up for Lyft through delta.com/lyft can also get up to $20 in ride credits, according to the blog post.
Of course, this isn't the first time ride share companies have dabbled in rewards program partnerships. Uber and the Starwood Hotels collaboration is just another example.
It's always a good idea to keep an eye on these partnerships and collect the benefits when you can.
