Here are the organizations helping fight human trafficking in metro Detroit

(WXYZ) — January is Human Trafficking Awareness month, and all day Tuesday, we're telling you about what you need to be on the lookout for when it comes to human trafficking, apps you need to keep an eye on, and much more.

The National Human Trafficking Hotline is an organization in the U.S. that connects victims and survivors of sex and labor trafficking with services and supports to get help and stay safe. You can call them at 1-888-373-7888 (TTY: 711)or text them at 233733.

In addition, the website lists a variety of organizations across metro Detroit that offer emergency, transitional, or long-term services to victims and survivors of human trafficking as well as those that provide resources and opportunities in the anti-trafficking field.
