DETROIT (WXYZ) — Interim Detroit Police Chief James E. White suspends one officer following alleged misconduct involving two police officers during a shooting incident.

The second officer will undergo an investigation upon her return from medical leave.

"I directed the command team to ensure that this investigation is done timely and we will move to remedy shortly thereafter," the chief said.

During the press confrence, Chief White also urged the community to speak up following the murder of 18-year-old Tikiya Allen. According to police, the suspect was driving a red Ford Taurus.

"We need your help. We all have to be tired of this violence. We all have to be tired of me telling these stories week in and week out. Enough is enough," White said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is advised to contact police immediately.
