DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Jefferson-Chalmers Farmers Market announced that it will be opened every second and fourth Sunday of the month, beginning July 12 through Oct. 25.

“The Jefferson Chalmers Farmers Market will welcome local farmers, growers, artists and craftsmen as vendors every 2nd and 4th Sunday from July 12th through October 25th," said community agriculturist Minya Irby. "Anyone with an interest in unifying and investing in the local community are welcomed to patronize the farmer’s market or become vendors and hopefully develop a love for gardening, if you don’t already have one. We have over 25 vendors committed and we have space for a few more farmers, florists and artists. We are just asking vendors for a donation for the space and we will certainly work with you. We hope to see authors, startup small businesses, and local growers really build their businesses this summer amongst the community.”

The market is open from 2 to 6 p.m.
