This morning, jury selection will begin in the trial of a man charged with killing 24-year-old Kajavia Globe back in December.

Prosecutors say Maxwell Brack, Kajavia’s ex-boyfriend, killed her and dumped her body in a wheeled dumpster.

Kajavia’s family reported her missing in December and after two days of frantic searches, she was found.

Brack was caught on surveillance video wearing a mask and withdrawing money from Kajavia’s bank account.

During the lengthy preliminary hearing in February, we heard the haunting details of how it’s believed the 24-year-old was killed. The medical examiner testified there was no injuries to Kajavia’s internal organs and that he could not determine the manner in which she was killed but did not rule out suffocation.

Wayne County Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway will preside over the case. It begins this morning with the first step, interviewing perspective jurors.
