Kroger temporarily adjusting service hours amid COVID-19 outbreak

(WXYZ) — Kroger says it is taking steps to protect customers and associates amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Stores will be limiting the number of cold, flu and sanitary products per order. Kroger says this is so everyone can have access to the items they need.

Kroger also says that its supply chain teams are working to ensure that the food, medicine and cleaning supplies are reaching stores as quickly as possible.

To protect customers and associates, Kroger is:

  • Cleaning commonly used areas more often
  • Sanitizing restrooms more frequently and restocking with supplies
  • Adding extra hand sanitizer at cashier stations, food service counters and all pharmacy, The Little Clinic and Starbucks locations
  • Wiping down shopping carts, baskets and equipment

Additionally, all Kroger locations will temporarily shift their service hours from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. until further notice.
