HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Highland Park Water Department is continuing to offer residents free lead testing, along with distributing free filters.
Additionally, the city is currently offering one-time assistance of up to $500 per household for water bills.
Construction for water main and lead line replacement is expected to begin in late spring 2020.

In summer 2019, significant levels of lead were found in the water at Highland Park homes. The city has been distributing free filters.
