The City of Lincoln Park gave out awards to six people for saving the life of a resident.

The awards went to an unlikely team consisting of two civilians, three police officers and a firefighter.

On a summer night in July, Drew Sorenson and Caleb Armstrong, called 911 and performed CPR on Pamela Campbell. She was unconscious and in cardiac arrest.

The pair continued the life-saving efforts until Engine 41 and Rescue 41 arrived and police and EMS took over.

Campbell survived and was on hand to present awards to Lt. Bob Wright, Sgt. Branden Perry, Sgt. Jayson Milley, and Firefighter Sam Norton with the Lincoln Park Fire Dept. Life Saving Award.

Sorenson and Armstrong were awarded with the Lincoln Park Civilian Citation Award.
