Police ask for public's help on Dearborn murder

Dearborn police held a news conference today in conjunction with Crime Stoppers to ask for the public's help to solve a murder.

Police say 33-year-old Raymond Mshahwar of Canton was shot and killed near Madison and Bennett in Dearborn on October 16 around 10 p.m.

Mshahwar had been driving and crashed into several parked cars after he was shot, according to police. 

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved. 

“This is a tragic situation and our condolences go out the family of the victim. The Dearborn Police Department will use all available resources to apprehend the person(s) involved in this crime. We are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this crime,” stated Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad in a press release.
