Suspects who allegedly stole exotic animals from Livonia pet store turn themselves in

LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) — Livonia police say two young men, who were seen on camera allegedly stealing exotic animals from a Livonia pet store, turned themselves in to authorities Thursday.

The two suspects were brought to the police station by their mother.

The Livonia Police Department posted surveillance video of the theft, showing the young men walk into a reptile store and take a baby Sulcata Tortoise and three Leopard Geckos.

According to the Facebook post, the alleged theft happened at Stingers pet store, 18774 Middlebelt Road.

No further information was released on if the two young men will be charged.
