Corn mazes are popular this time of year, but one farm is honoring a Halloween tradition.

Long Family Orchard and Farm in Commerce are celebrating the 50th anniversary of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

They decided to use their corn maze to honor the cartoon -- that you can watch Friday the 28th on WXYZ.

The corn maze features those famous Peanuts characters, as visitors try to find their way to the finish line.

Owner Rob Long said, "It's a special honor to be selected to pay that tribute to the great pumpkin."

The Long Family Orchard and Farm in Commerce are one of 93 farms across North America celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Halloween-themed cartoon.

"An image of Linus and Sally in the pumpkin patch and also Snoopy in the pumpkin patch. It had words that where people can wander through and it commemorates the 50th anniversary."

The process to create the maze started in July when the corn stalks were only 6" to 8" tall.

Now it is more than six feet.

You can play bingo, in and around the maze.

One lucky family could win a trip to California.

"There are clues hidden throughout the farm and the maze and families that come out get a bingo card and if they make a match, they hand that in."

This coming weekend is the last weekend the farm will be open.
