Allen Park K-9 officer dies from pancreatic disease

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are mourning the loss of a K-9 officer.

According to a post to the Allen Park Police Department’s Facebook page, K-9 Officer Phantom, had been suffering from a pancreatic disease before passing away.

Phantom had been working with Officer Franco for the past two years. Franco says they had learned to trust each other.

Officer Franco said Phantom was an amazing addition to his family, the department, and the community.
