(WXYZ) - Here are ways to research your medical health professional's license history and status and potential criminal history.
For the status and history of your medical professionals' license, visit the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) by clicking
https://www.michigan.gov/lara. Type in the first and last name, and it will display all disciplinary action taken by the state. It will not state why the medical professional was disciplined.
Offender Tracking Information System, commonly called OTIS, provides criminal conviction information about anyone who was or is under the jurisdiction or supervision of the Michigan Department of Corrections. Type in their first and last name, and in the "offender status" box, click on "all."
Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry is used to protect and inform the public about convicted sex offenders. Type in the first and last name, and in the "search type" box, click on "all offenders."
