Multiple passengers aboard the Carnival Dream have contacted CNN, telling stories of power outages and overflowing toilets, all while docked in port at Philipsburg, St. Maarten, in the eastern Caribbean.
(WXYZ) - Carnival Cruise line is offering severely discounted fares to potential future sailors.
Customers can now sail for as little as $38 per night, which includes meals and some beverages.
That's less than a stay at a Motel 6 according to online ads.
Carnival offers the deal after an engine fire on their Triumph ship that stranded passengers at sea for several days back in February.
The company also took a hit last year when another one of their ships ran aground off the Italian coast killing 32 passengers.
