(WXYZ) — After 60 years, Art Van is going out of business. The company's liquidation sales began on Friday, and some customers lined up before the store even opened.

Thirty minutes before the doors opened, the parking lot was full and a long line had formed at the door. Some came for the going out of business sales, while others came to get answers about furniture they had bought before the closures were announced.

One customer, Amanda Kathryn, says she was told she won't receive the mattress she paid for and won't get a refund. She was reportedly told she could use in-store credit to pick out something on the store floor.

At this point, customers are confused on furniture deliveries; 7 Action News has confirmed that Art Van delivery trucks have been leaving the warehouse, so it appears some orders are still being delivered. However, the online delivery tracker is not working, and neither is the order status page on the Art Van website.
