After shoveling the entire length of your driveway, the last thing you want to see is a pile of snow appear at the end of it as a result from city plowing.
However, although the sight of those snow piles drive us crazy, the city snow plows are just trying to do their jobs, according to the Lowell Police Department.
They posted on Facebook telling residents not to walk out in front of a city snow plow with their shovels.
In a graphic, detailed post, they said, "If the truck doesn't crush you and kill you instantly, the blade will dismember your body and you'll bleed out before any help arrives."
"We have someone wanting to be a Darwin Award Candidate," they said in a comment on the post. "Not something to be proud of."
