A 22-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly attempted to steal two iPads from a Target store over the summer and then returned the next day.

The incident reportedly happened in August, but Terrell Hardy was just arrested and arraigned this week.

Bloomfield Township police say Hardy tried to leave the Target store on Telegraph with two iPads before struggling with workers and escaping without the products on August 18. Officials were notified the next day, when he reportedly returned to the store.

Hardy, police say, denied being there the day before. They released him and continued to investigate.

After reviewing surveillance and interviewing witnesses, police say they were able to confirm Hardy was the person they were looking for in connection to the attempted theft.
