WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating an attempted murder-suicide that occurred on Christmas Eve in Washington Township.
Around 11 p.m., police say deputies responded to a resident on Cetnor Court and located a 53-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds and a 52-year-old man, identified as Loris Costa, with a single gunshot wound to the head. Both were taken to the hospital.
Costa was pronounced deceased and the woman remains in critical condition.
Police say Costa and the woman were arguing when he shot her before turning the gun on himself.
The weapon has been recovered, police say.
