(WXYZ) — A Lincoln Park man is facing charges in connection with two separate incidents involving alleged spitting on hospital personnel.

Prosecutors say on March 29, 30-year-old Richard Allen Kechego was in the care of a hospital in Wyandotte. He allegedly verbally assaulted, threatened and spat at several hospital staff with the intent to inflict them with a virus.

He has been charged with Threat of Terrorism and Harmful Devices/Unlawful Use.

On April 16, while in the care of a hospital in Dearborn, prosecutors say Kechego allegedly verbally assaulted, threatened and spat at a staff member with the intent of infecting them with a virus.

He has been charged with Harmful Devices/Unlawful Use.

“It is hard to wrap one’s mind around this defendant’s alleged behavior, especially during these times," If you are even thinking about doing something like this, know that acting on it is criminal behavior.”
