A mother is warning residents in the Taylor area to keep their eyes open after telling police a suspicious man has been creeping around her house.
Jennifer Collins lives on Wick and Stevens, she says Thursday night while she was at work, a man walked on her property and began staring at her 14-year old through the window. Her daughter was doing the dishes.
When she noticed him he ran off, but Collins says he returned 20 minutes later and tried opening the front door.
He was able to gain access through the side door, but did not enter after hearing her dog barking and her daughter yelling that police were on the way.
Collins says the first week of school, the same man approached her 12-year old daughter at the bus stop on Merrick and Wick.
"The same man tried to get her to come with him and she ran home and he watched her come in this house,” Collins said.
Taylor police received another report Thursday night of a suspicious man watching people in their home on Jackson.
"I feel violated and scared, scared because I have a handicapped mother in there and if he would've gotten in the house with my two daughters and my handicapped mother, God only knows what I would've came home to last night,” Collins says.
The man is described as a white male in his 20s to 30s wearing dark clothing and neon yellow shoes.
