DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a man found unresponsive in the street in southwest Detroit early Saturday morning.
Around 5:22 a.m., police responded to the area of Waterman and Stratton, where a 24-year-old man was found lying in the street. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the 24-year-old victim dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim saw a man he was having problems with. The 24-year-old approached the man and they started fighting.
A second suspect joined in the fight, according to police. The 24-year-old victim died from injuries resulting from the fight, authorities say.
Three male suspects sped off from the scene in a black Honda, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
