SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman was charged after a home invasion in Shelby Township early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a home on 24 Mile Road. Officers say the male homeowner's ex-girlfriend, Lilly Xiiong, broke into the home armed with a pistol.

There was a struggle where one shot went off, but police say no one was injured.

Further investigation discovered that Xiiong had allegedly parked her car a few streets down from the home and was caught pouring an accelerant on the home in an alleged attempt to burn it down.

Multiple police units arrived to the location and arrested the woman. She was charged with attempted murder on Feb. 5. Her bail was set at $200,000.
