(WXYZ) — Meijer's new Rivertown Market coming to Detroit is looking for hyperlocal products to sell at the store when it opens later this year.

Marcus Reliford, the store manager of the Meijer Rivertown Market on Jefferson, is aiming to get 2,000 local products inside the store. Local businesses can submit their offerings for consideration to be sold in the store by clicking here.

“We want to help local businesses succeed. We want to showcase all Detroit has to offer and believe Rivertown Market is place to do it.” Reliford said in a release.

Just like the other three small-format stores in Grand Rapids, Royal Oak and Lansing, the Rivertown Market will feature fresh food, artisan groceries, Meijer and national-branded products.

Construction is underway on the 42,000-square-foot market, which will have about 60 jobs.

“Our small-format stores have always had the autonomy to stock the local products that fit their communities’ needs,” Justin Stricklen, director of market format stores for Meijer, said in a release. “This is the first time we’ve put out a call for those vendors to raise their hands and showcase their offerings. We believe there is a lot of potential out there, and we’re excited to begin building those lasting partnerships to benefit our customers.”
