Metro Detroit gas prices fall for first time in nearly a month

For the first time in nearly a month, metro Detroits and Michiganders are seeing relief at the gas pump. According to AAA Michigan, gas prices in the state and in metro Detroit have fallen for the first time in three weeks.

In metro Detroit, gas hsa fallen about 6 cents to $3.04 per gallon, but we're still up about 58 cents from this time last year.

As for the state of Michigan, gas fell about 11 cents to $2.99 per gallon, which is still 48 cents higher than this time last year.

The lowest average price can be found in Grand Rapids, Holland and Muskegon. AAA says it's around $2.94 per gallon on the west side of the state. The highest is in Ann Arbor for the fifth straight week at $3.05 per gallon.

Michigan had the biggest change in average weekly gas prices, but we still rank 18th in the nation for most expensive average daily gas price.
