The man who confessed to embezzling around $20 million is expected to learn his fate today.

Michael LaJoice was the chief financial officer of the Clarkston Brandon Credit Union.

Authorities say he stole from the credit union for more than a dozen years, buying a luxurious home, fancy cars and commercial properties.

Prosecutors are pushing for an 11-year prison sentence, but his lawyers say he should only get a 5-year sentence.

They say their client has been "humbled and destroyed."
