(WXYZ) — A former dance teacher accused of sexually abusing his students is facing new charges.

Christopher Keen, 59, taught at the Kaleidoscope Studio for the Performing Arts in Clawson.

Keen was originally charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct. Now, he faces four more counts. At the time he was indicted, police said there could be more victims.

Police said Keen allegedly used his authoritative position to take advantage of his students, advising them not to tell anybody becaues his life would be over, and telling them he loved them.

One of his alleged victims spoke at Keen's preliminary hearing on Thursday. Police say they started investigating as early as spring 2016 when a victim was questioned by police.

Prosecutors asked for an additional $250,000 bond on the new charges, but a judge denied the request.
