AAA Michigan reports that the statewide average daily gas price has increased compared to last week by 9 cents.
The current statewide daily average is about $2.99 per gallon.
Compared to last week, metro Detroit's average daily gas price has increased. The current average is about $3 per gallon, 5 cents more than last week's.
The lowest average price is in the Marquette area at $2.87 per gallon, and the highest average price is in the Ann Arbor area at $3.06 per gallon.
Michigan is ranked second in the nation for biggest change in average daily gas price compared to last week.
