A Michigan State Police trooper was injured in an accident this morning on I-75 northbound, according to MSP.

The northbound lanes of I-75 at Joslyn in Auburn Hills were shut down for several hours but have since reopened.

Police say troopers were helping to block the road for an MDOT work crew when the accident happened. The driver who crashed into the cruiser was believed to have been intoxicated, according to police.

The woman is a 29-year veteran with MSP. We've learned she is still being evaluated at the hospital, but we're told her injuries are not life-threatening. It's believed she suffered a broken wrist, according to a Michigan State Police spokesperson.
