FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Lily Camara, a 28-year-old mother who was last seen July 2, has been found dead, according to Ferndale police.
Investigators say there are "strong indications" that Camara is a victim of homicide. However, there is no indication that there is an increased threat to local residents.
Police are still looking for Camara's 2017 black Ford Edge with Michigan license plate DQX9931.
A family friend told police that it was unlike the mother to leave her child for an extended period of time.
Camara was expected at an event on July 2 but never showed up, police say.
No further details have been released on the details of Camara's death. The investigation is ongoing.
